How it works

Set your alarm. When it wakes you and you turn it off, that morning's Dawnling hatches โ€” a small procedural creature generated from the date, unique to that day and the same for everyone who wakes to it. Keep your streak going and your collection grows.

Every creature is drawn on your device. There is no server, no account, and nothing to sign up for.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 10, 2026

Everything stays on your device

Dawnling does not require an account and never asks for personal information. Your alarm, streak, and collection are stored only on your device. They are never transmitted to us, and we operate no servers that receive them.

Alarms

Dawnling uses Apple's AlarmKit to schedule your wake-up alarm so it can sound even when your iPhone is silenced or in a Focus mode. Alarms are scheduled and handled entirely on your device.

Notifications

Any reminders Dawnling shows are generated locally on your device โ€” nothing is sent from a server.

Advertising

Dawnling is free and supported by ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process device information (such as advertising identifiers, IP address, and coarse location) to serve and measure ads, as described in Google's Privacy Policy and AdMob's data practices.

App Tracking Transparency

On first launch, iOS will ask whether Dawnling may track your activity. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track," ads will still appear but will not be personalized using cross-app identifiers. You can change this anytime in Settings โ†’ Privacy & Security โ†’ Tracking.

Children

Dawnling is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.
